How to properly wear a sling on your shoulder?

If you have a fractured shoulder, elbow, or wrist, you need to wear a sling that holds your arm against your body and prevents it from moving. There are many cases in which you need to wear your arm in a sling. These include:

1. In case of a fracture of the shoulder, elbow or wrist, a sling is necessary to immobilize the arm so that the bones heal properly.

Here's how to adjust the sling

Remember that this can only be done after consulting with a doctor.

5. After the injury has healed, consult with a physical therapist on what exercises should be performed to increase the range of motion of the arm (ROM) and strength in the arm, which decreased during the wearing of the sling and the healing of the injury.
